<![CDATA[ Sometimes we forget that we are one. And maybe this is more difficult in a diverse congregation like ours, but this is the kind of body Christ died to build "whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free" and I think we could add, whether White, or Black, or Asian, or African, or Hispanic, or European, or mixed, or young or old, or tall or short, or rich or poor, or Jamaican or Korean, we have all been made to drink into one Spirit. When I hear people in the church talking about "us" and "them," as though we are not one body, and see people self-segregating based on external differences, it is a warning signal that that man or that woman does not understand the nature of the church. It suggests that they have not surrendered to Doctor Jesus who wants to graft them into the body so that the life-giving and anointing power of the Holy Spirit can begin to flow through them and empower them with the unction to function in the body in such a way that they become a blessing to the body of Christ.]]>
